Online Dissolved Oxygen Analyzers for Wastewater Treatment Applications   Performance Evaluation Report

This test reports presents results of nine online dissolved oxygen analyzers field-tested in a wastewater treatment plant environment of secondary activated sludge aeration basins.   This field-test was conducted over a period of three months utilizing galvanic, fluorescence and polarographic technologies.  The Sanitary District of Decatur, in Decatur, Illinois,  sponsored this test.  This report provides an overview of performance test procedures, outlines instrument specifications and includes performance test results for instruments manufactured by:

Online Dissolved Oxygen Analyzers Maintenance Benchmarking Study

This maintenance study includes an investigation of the use on online dissolved oxygen analyzers for industrial, influent, activated sludge and effluent treatment process applications.  This study examines the use of various analyzer technologies, reports calibration and maintenance practices, and provides treatment plant evaluations of instrument effectiveness and estimated service costs. 

Benchmarking data provided in this report by surveyed wastewater and industrial treatment facilities form a basis of knowledge to assist in understanding the advantages and limitations of analyzer technologies.  This reports also provides a history and background of dissolved oxygen analyzers and discusses the principles of how the different dissolved oxygen analyzer technologies function including galvanic, fluorescence and polarographic. 

This report provides the end-user with reported longevity of instrument's make and models in-use; installation, calibration and maintenance requirements; and reported performance, accuracy and maintenance costs.
